Pensioner (76) charged with controlling prostitution for gain

Detectives from the PSNI's Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Unit have charged a 76-year-old man with controlling prostitution for gain and brothel keeping.

He is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on July 8.

As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

It is understood the charges charges relate to an ongoing, proactive investigation by the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Unit focusing on the Greater Belfast area.
