Families return home and roads reopened as security alert ends

The security alert in Fahan Street in Derry/Londonderry has ended.

A statement from the PSNI said: "Fahan Street has re-opened.

"All residents have returned home.

"We want to thank the community for their cooperation and understanding as we worked to make the area safe. "
