Another seven people have died after testing positive for COVID-19 in Northern Ireland.

The latest Department of Health dashboard reveals that four people died within the last 24 hours - and another three were reported to the DoH but did not die in the same time period.

The death toll is now reported as being 489 in NI.

Meanwhile according to the statistics another 20 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed.

Today’s report also flags up that so far 253 men and 235 women and one person of unknown gender have died with COVID-19 in Northern Ireland.

To date 322 people aged 80-years and more have died after contracting coronavirus - 144 people aged 60-79 years - 21 people aged 40-59 years - one person in the 20-39 year age group and one person of unknown age.
